CMC
There are two (2) Cataloging Maintenance Centers (CMCs) in the state of Illinois. Originally created to provide database cleanup for automated library systems across Illinois, they also provide contract cataloging services state-wide, each of the CMCs serving a separate region in the state.
Contract cataloging services are provided to Illinois libraries at a reduced cost, original cataloging ranging in price from $10 to $25, depending on the type of material being cataloged. Special materials can now be cataloged for free.

Pricing:
For the Fiscal Year starting in July 2010, any special collections material will be cataloged by CMCs free of charge.
For standard, new items, the prices for cataloging are as follows:
Print, English language: $10 per original bibliographic record
Print, Foreign language: $15 per original bibliographic record
Non-print, English language: $20 per original bibiliographic record
Non-Print, Foreign language: $25 per original bibliographic record
Updating a print record: $3
Updating a non-print record: $5
