Member libraries and their patrons have access into a variety of electronic databases. These databases range from a statewide library directory (ELI) to FirstSearch with full text articles and other information.

Find-It! Illinois–portal to Illinois governmental and library information on the Web.
FirstSearch–connects you to information in a wide range of subjects in 14 databases. FirstSearch access is supported by the Illinois State Library for all Illinois libraries – academic, school, special and public.

Gale–access to a suite of Gale databases for patrons of GateNet libraries only.
Green File–comprised of more than 600 scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports, this database focuses on the relationship between human beings and the environment.
Illinois Public Record–allows you to search free Illinois public records.
Putting Illinois on the Map–combines demographic information from the 2000 Federal Census with various geo-political boundaries across the State of Illinois.
I-Share–resource sharing system for the CARLI libraries.

Illinois Authors Directory–includes authors, illustrators, and photographers who have lived in Illinois at one time in their lives or have books that are about Illinois subjects or are set in Illinois.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts–covers librarianship, classification, information management, and more and indexes nearly 600 periodicals plus books, research reports, and proceedings; with coverage dating back to the mid-1960s.
Municipal Library Consortium of St. Louis County–Municipal Library Consortium (MLC) and LCLS members mutually share their resources. Members are able to access and electronically request material owned by members of the MLC. How to use the MLC database
NoveList–fee-based electronic readers advisory resource which assists readers of all ages in finding new authors and titles.
Talking Book and Braille Service–titles available to Illinois residents who are participants in the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped program, available for patrons who cannot use standard printed material because of visual or physical disabilities.
