West Branch Coordinator (Aurora)

The Aurora Public Library (APL) seeks a Branch Coordinator (branch manager) with high energy and a “customers first” philosophy to manage all operations of a branch library, including customer service, staffing, scheduling, programming, selection, circulation, and facilities management. West Branch serves the west side of Aurora and is situated on a middle-school campus. The Branch Coordinator supervises, hires, trains, schedules, and evaluates a team of 23 staff.  Additionally, the Branch Coordinator serves as the person in charge of the branch, working at least one evening per week and a weekend rotation, as well as participating in occasional meetings and events after traditional hours.

Children’s Services Coordinator (Aurora)

Are you a self-starter who enjoys helping people? Do you have experience providing research services in a public library that embraces change? If so, you might be just the person for us. The primary responsibilities for these positions are to staff the research (reference) desk, participate in programs and services, collection development, and make recommendations to further our goals and enhance our role in the community. Qualifications include a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited university and a minimum of two years of reference experience at a public library after receiving the MLS.
