Milner Library, Illinois State University, has an opening for a Cataloging Library Operations Associate to perform the duties of Original Cataloger.

This position is responsible for preparing description and access records for resources held by or accessible from Milner Library.  The person in this position will work with materials in all formats, perform original and complex copy cataloging, establish headings to contribute to the Library of Congress/NACO name authority file, and upgrade minimal-level catalog copy in OCLC WorldCat. This person coaches and facilitates the work and development of cataloging unit staff, and acts as a resource person for faculty and staff in the division and in other areas. This person participates in development and evaluation of cataloging workflows and procedures, and participates in planning, development, implementation and support of library technologies, systems and services.
