U.S. COURTS LIBRARY 8TH CIRCUIT
LIBRARY TECHNICIAN (Part-time with benefits)


The U.S. Courts Library in St. Louis is the headquarters for a library system which serves judges in 7 states. The St. Louis library is responsible for acquisitions and subscriptions for the libraries and chambers collections within this geographical area. We are currently searching for a part-time (approximately 24 hours per week) Library Technician to assist with acquisitions.


Primary Responsibilities:

Preparation of book orders and payment vouchers

Maintenance of order records

Troubleshooting of order and billing problems


Requirements:

High school graduate

Two years clerical experience (college may be substituted)

1 year library or comparable experience

Accuracy and attention to detail

Data entry or word processing experience

Background check required for successful candidate


Preferred:

Law library or technical services experience

College education
