Each year, the LCLS Staff Association officers poll LCLS staff to determine to which local charity we wish to make a donation. This year, the Metro East Humane Society received a $225 cash donation from the Staff Association.

Throughout the year each time LCLS staff desire to wear jeans on Friday they contribute $1.00 to a special “Casual Friday” fund.  At the end of the year 1/2 of the collection is used to make a donation (the other 1/2 remains with the LCLS Staff Association to pay for staff “remembrances,” such as births, deaths, retirements, etc. and other special events).

Past recipients have included:

• Children’s Home and Aid
• James S. McDonnell USO
• Edwardsville Fire Department’s THANKS (To Hungry And Needy Kids) program
• Glen Ed Pantry
